Notability
Why does this individual have a wikipedia page? Their book (genderqueer: a Memoir) is notable, not them. Maybe once/if they release another noteworthy work, they'll warrant a wikipedia page; however, I'm here because of the school board controversy, not because Oprah recommended their works or something. Disrespect towards nonbinary author
On this author's wiki page, someone changed eir pronouns to she/her and said, "she uses pronouns for the mentally ill". Update this and ban whoever put that on this page. Absolutely disrespectful. 2600:6C4E:F7F:128C:1DB1:BBB9:53E1:C60F (talk) 05:36, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
Book challenges & public discussion
I removed a statement that said that Gender Queer had been pulled from Waukee, Iowa, libraries as the books were discussed at a school board meeting but have not been formally challenged or removed, according to the school district.[1] The book has been challenged in several states this year[2], but many of these challenges are still in progress so I'm not sure whether it merits an above-the-fold mention just yet.
