Don't merge - There is an unfortunate similarity in names and occupations, but these are two different individuals. The new article, about someone active in the early 14th century, cites: "Shah Makhdum Rupos (R)". Banglapedia.. Although WP describes the subject of the older article as 14th-century, that appears to be a mix-up, because the main source ("Makhdum Shah (R)". Don't merge- They are two different person, who were Sufi and preached Islam in Bangladesh.
