This page totally needs clean up.

And I was the one who said that comment above, I wasn't logged in.--Princess Homestar 00:26, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Some sources wouldn't be bad... --213.140.22.64 19:29, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Done and  Done. I'm pretty sure based on the volume of content (and what content it actually is) there are now ample sournces, and I've massively tidied up the page to meet general criteria and guidelines. --lincalinca 03:12, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Don't Jump To Conclusions

However obvious things may be, THIS HAS NOT been announced as a single. Livejournal posts and an article on Absolute Punk (with no source, by the way) does not count as "confirmation" that Mama is a single. Yeah, the rumors were true about Famous Last Words, but there were just as many rumors and so-called "confirmations" that Disenchanted was a single, and it was WRONG. No where has the band or Warner Bros USA (the Finnish WB does not count either folks, sorry!) said that Mama is the next single. Unless it comes from one of those two sources, it is NOT official. MJB12 19:01, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

I think the most convincing information is that it's confirmed on the Billboard.com website as a part of the group's discography. The other references held the place for the time (and they'll still do for now) until a direct WEA source is able to be given. I'm confident based on Billboard stating that they're ready to start counting its success as a reliable source (in support of teh claims of the other sites). --lincalinca 02:56, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Billboard doesn't mean anything's confirmed. They also had "Disenchanted" listed with a release date of April 2nd, that became I Don't Love You. Nothing is confirmed. Confirmed only means the band themselves say it publicly (and there is proof of this), it's on their official website, or they actually put out a video for it. I'm just trying to stop what happened with "Disenchanted" - Billboard, VH1, MTV, all the sites listed it as a single, but is it? No...MJB12 04:45, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

That was claimed when it was purported that "Disenchanted" was to be a single, but all of the sites being references didn't actually state it was to be a single. Billboard only operates on information provided by manufacturers (i.e. labels and publishers) and merchants (and their proxies). What I'm getting at is that Billboard never said it was going to be a single: simply that somebody made a reference to the group's discography page on billboard and claimed that. There was never any info to state it was, but because nobody verified it, the falsehood was perpetuated. This, however, does indicate a release date, that there are to be three distinct releases (or one regular single, and two appendages, though the particulars aren't yet clear). To be clear, the group only announced two singles from this album: Famous Last Words and Black Parade; Teenagers and I Don't Love You were not announced by the band but were simply released and then put into circulation. --lincalinca 05:32, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

MySQL Dates

Hi all, the release dates shown were in MySQL format for some reason (eg YYYY-MM-DD). I have changed them to standard format and added the links to the correct articles for the dates. DoyleyTalk 07:47, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

These dates are the standard formatting and is encouraged when a specific date can be given, as mediawiki parses them and converts it according to the user's preferences. As such, I have reverted the use. See WP:DATE for more information. --lincalinca 08:23, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Hey, i'm confused on the dates. I actually changed them, then saw the talk page and reverted my changes. But the whole parsing and converting thing doesn't seem to be working as described. I changed my settings but still they appear as "12-11-2007" which is confusing at best. Ouze (talk) 18:55, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

It seems somebody put the dates in without wrapping it into a link like this: [[2007-11-18]] to yeild this: 2007-11-18. Plus, it's isodate formatting that's required, so it's CCYY-MM-DD, not MM-DD-CCYY or DD-MM-CCYY as some were using. Have a look now. --lincalinca 21:53, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Wait a Minute.

This hasn't been announced by the band as a single, and if it was a single, I'm sure it'd be in the audio player on their website, like all the previous singles are.

Don't forget, Teenagers was put on the audio player about a month before it was released, so was Famous Last Words. (Xx-sleepy-star-xx 16:38, 30 October 2007 (UTC))

It has been announced as a single Upcoming Releases and the band have announced it and filmed a video for it.(LemonLemonLemons 12:30, 3 November 2007 (UTC))
Because this is a later release, it's lower profile, so it doesn't garner as much support by the band as the earlier singles. And, apparently they're postponing its release now due to Bob's medical issues (that's hearsay, so it's not backed up by reliable sources at the moment, being why I haven't noted it on the page). --lincalinca 12:14, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

I just don't see a reason to leave this page up here unless the band or warner brother's makes a statement that this will be the single. Speculation is dandy, but obviously speculation was WRONG here. I say the page just be taken down. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.76.181.112 (talk) 07:33, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

Where...

It's supposed to be today, yet I can't seem to find it anywhere. It would be nice to put a link to the first place that showed it, or at least the official site.72.12.72.89 12:11, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

It's not actually been announced that the video comes out today, nor on the 16th. There aren't any reliable sources that say that. The sources that do say so probably got it from this article.--70.23.140.242 01:07, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

If you go on bladeyoustain.net right now you'll see that a fan just met Frank and asked about the Mama video; they haven't made a video yet, and they don't know when they will. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.26.202.107 (talk) 12:54, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. I don't know who put the date for 16 for the MV, but I'm not going to change it. No offense, and I am a massive fan, but there tends to be exaggeration and make-believe with anything concerning MCR. It's my opinion, which shouldn't be taken into account for much, that they will release the video (if it is made by then) on the 16. That seems to go with their overall releases. 72.12.72.89 22:54, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Until we can see any proof that a video will be released, or has even been made, it's probably best to put up the "citation needed".--Tame The Tiger 02:49, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Refrencing what's not there

Someone here has said the a 11-16-07 release of mama was confirmed by billboard, which lists it as the 12th. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.219.251.22 (talk) 00:19, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Is this for the release of the single or the video?--Tame The Tiger 01:30, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
