Further ABBA Songs Confirmed For The 2nd Film

Cher has said that one of her 2 Songs is 'Fernando'. Benny has said that 'Knowing Me, Knowing You' & 'The Name Of The Game' will be in it. (Due to the fact that 'The Name Of The Game' was Filmed for the 1st 'Mamma Mia!' Film & then cut from it). 'Mamma Mia' & 'Dancing Queen' will be in Film 2 - as they were in Film 1. Part of 'Thank You For The Music' will be in Film 2. Julie Walters says that 'I've Been Waiting For You' is also in Film 2. That is a very beautiful ABBA Ballad from the 1975 'ABBA' Album & the 'B' Side of the 1974 'So Long' Single. 'Why Did It Have To Be Me' is also said to be in Film 2. That was a Track on ABBA's 1976 'Arrival' Album. 00:31, 23 December 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.2.61.136 (talk)

'Kisses Of Fire' is also rumoured to also be in 'Mamma Mia! 2'. Although, I cannot find any definite confirmation of this. It was the 'B' Side of 'Does Your Mother Know', in 1979, & also a Track on the 'Voulez Vous' Album. I really like it, & I hope that it is included in the Film. 86.2.61.136 (talk) 10:45, 6 February 2018 (UTC)

'Mamma Mia', 'I Have A Dream' and 'Dancing Queen' were in the 1st Trailer. For the 2nd Trailer they introduced a 'fresh' ABBA Song, (as in one that was not in the 1st Film). That was 'Angel Eyes'. The 3rd Trailer introduced a 2nd 'fresh' ABBA Song - 'Fernando'. However, by including so many Songs, that were in Film 1, (including 'Waterloo'), they have made some people think, that the 2nd Film has so few 'fresh' ABBA Songs to choose from, that most of the Songs in it, will be re-used ABBA Songs from Film 1! This is nonsense. Universal want to sell a Soundtrack Album on the back of Film 2. They are hardly going to fill it with Songs from Film 1, when the Soundtrack to that Film sold well over 5,500,000 Globally - including over 1,500,000 in the UK & over 1,800,000 in the USA. Only a handful of the ABBA Songs in Film 2 were previously in Film 1. ABBA have a far bigger 'Song Book' than the 19 Tracks on 'ABBA Gold' & the 20 Tracks on 'More ABBA Gold'. I read a 'Journalist's Article, the other day, who declared that it is 'obvious', that Film 2, is using 'exactly the same' ABBA Songs, that were in Film 1. She also admitted, that she only really knows the 19 Tracks on 'ABBA Gold', as that is the only ABBA CD that she owns! Such people are totally unaware of the fact, that ABBA recorded well over 100 Songs & many of their Album Tracks would have been big Hit Singles. Many of those strong Album Tracks are on neither 'ABBA Gold' nor 'More ABBA Gold'. Such ignorant people will get a shock, when they hear several of those strong ABBA Songs in Film 2 - for they currently only know a fraction of what ABBA recorded! Their naivety and ignorance is appalling. 86.2.61.136 (talk) 20:10, 9 February 2018 (UTC)

How can Donna's mother be in this film? In the first movie, after the performance of Super Trouper, Donna was lying on her bed, along with Rosie and Tanya, and she pointed up to the sky and said, "Somebody UP THERE has got it in for me. I bet it's my mother.", and Tanya said, "Oh, and wasn't she a ray of sunshine.". That short dialogue clearly suggests that Donna's mother died after she disowned Donna for becoming pregnant. In both the movie and musical, Donna clearly admitted to Sophie that she was disowned by her mother, right after she revealed she had become pregnant. Anybody else puzzled by this part, or am I in it alone? -- 173.76.125.14 (talk) 19:53, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

No - It does not suggest that Donna's mother had died. It is made clear, (Mamma Mia! 1'), that Donna has not seen her mother for years. That they have had zero contact for a very long time. So, Donna is saying that for all she knows her mother could be dead. It is an assumption, by Donna - not a fact. 'Mamma Mia!' 2 shows that Donna's speculation was wrong. Her mother is not dead, after all. --86.2.61.136 (talk) 10:40, 6 February 2018 (UTC)

Well, in all honesty, Ruby has a lot of nerve to suddenly just show up after all she's done. -- 173.76.122.201 (talk) 23:05, 2 March 2018 (UTC)

On and On and On

In the Article you added a Track called 'One and One and One' and said that it will be in 'Mamma Mia! 2'. You also said that it is originally from 'ABBA - The Album'. (1977). No such ABBA Song exists. It is clearly 'On and On and On', which is from ABBA's 'Super Trouper' Album. (1980). It was a Single in a few Countries - Australia, USA, Japan, France etc. Now we know of 5 ABBA Songs, in the Film, that were on 'More ABBA Gold', in 1993. They are: 'When I Kissed The Teacher', 'I Wonder (Departure)', 'Summer Night City', 'On and On and On' and 'Angeleyes'. The 2nd Film also uses the remaining Tracks on 'ABBA Gold', that were not used in the 1st 'Mamma Mia!' Film - 'Fernando', 'Knowing Me, Knowing You' and 'One Of Us'. As well as another 'ABBA Gold' Track - 'The Name Of The Game' - which was filmed for 'Mamma Mia! 1' & then cut out of that Film. 86.2.61.136 (talk) 03:04, 15 February 2018 (UTC)

35 ABBA Songs Mentioned - So Far

So far, you have mentioned 35 ABBA Songs that are supposed to be in 'Mamma Mia! 2'. You now have 34 Listed, as you no longer mention 'Chiquitita'. You are aware that there were 'only' 24 ABBA Songs in the 1st Film, in 2008? (21 different ABBA Songs, with 3 of them sung twice). So, there can't possibly be 34, (or 35), ABBA Songs in the 2nd Film - unless it is to be far longer than Film 1. Also, you say that 'Super Trouper' is to be sung by 'Young Donna'. Are you aware that Cher has said that she sings both that & 'Fernando', in the Film? So, do Cher & Young Donna sing 'Super Trouper' as a Duet, or do they sing it alone, so that it features in the Film twice? Or have you made an error, & only Ruby, (Cher), sings it? 86.2.61.136 (talk) 11:17, 24 March 2018 (UTC)

Can you remove the song "wish list"?

"The following songs have been predicted to appear in the film by fans of ABBA and Mamma Mia!"

Really? --89.0.30.24 (talk) 15:31, 24 March 2018 (UTC)

  •   Comment: I concur with the title you stated. That is a very preposterous idea to have a section about "predicting the songs". This site is NOT a crystal globe per WP:CRYSTALBALL. If possible it should be replaced with the sections about the soundtracks. The speculation section makes it look very amateur and biased. --Misterpither (talk) 17:25, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

When You add 'New' ABBA Songs To the Film List

Please give the source when you add 'New' ABBA Songs to the 'Mamma Mia! 2' List. You have added 3 'New' Songs to the List of Songs that have been 'mentioned by Cast and Crew' - but you have not said which Cast & Crew are supposed to have mentioned them. The 3 Songs are: 'The Way Old Friends Do', 'Gonna Sing You My Love Song' and 'My Love, My Life'. After all, we don't want the List of ABBA Songs, in the Film, to end up so long, that a lot of them are clearly 'made up' by certain ABBA Fans. Meaning that those Songs will not be in the Film at all...86.2.61.136 (talk) 15:52, 13 May 2018 (UTC)

These 20 ABBA Songs Are In 'Mamma Mia! 2's Closing Credits

Universal have still not released the Titles of all 18 ABBA Songs on the Soundtrack Album. However, there has now been at least one 'Pre-Screening' of the Film and an ABBA Fan has sneakily Filmed the end credits - showing the Songs that were in the Film. Universal are not happy about this & they 'pull' the Video, whenever they see it. 8 of the ABBA Tracks, that were said to be in it, are not in it. These 20 ABBA Songs are Listed in the end credits. (There are likely to be more than 20 ABBA Songs in it, as some of the 20 may well be sung twice). It is not 'wrong' that the Track List has been 'leaked'. Universal are being very silly in still not revealing the full Track List of the Soundtrack Album to HMV, & Amazon etc. A lot of people simply will not pre-order it until they know exactly which ABBA Songs are on it. Already, I've seen various people saying that Film 2 is going to 'flop' because there is no-where near as much hype & fuss about it, as there was for Film 1. This is entirely the fault of Universal, for being far too secretive, about which ABBA Songs are in the Film & on the Soundtrack. The secrecy has 'dampened down' the enthusiasm for Film 2. There was no need for such laid back secrecy. It is counter-productive and it does no favours to the Film, the Soundtrack, or the Cast.

Some comments are hidden

I found that a lot of the talk page is composed of speculations of what ABBA songs are going to appear in the film. This has no place in here per WP:CRYSTALBALL and WP:NOT. Since I am not going to risk erasing comments, I have hidden it. This is a discussion about improving the coverage of the article, not speculation. If one wants to go grieve at a production company or a record label about the subjected movie, this is not the right place here. Misterpither (talk) 17:25, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
