Hackney/Haringey
editI changed the text today to reflect the correct situation with regard to the tube station. It is located on the Haringey side of Green Lanes. I can't find a direct reference to the location of the station - but I can supply two nugatory ones LBH press release 12 Feb 2007 and theLonder June 2006.
I hope that meets the referencing criteria. Kbthompson 13:35, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- Three out of four station Manor House entrances are within the borough of Hackney, as is the official address of the station. See here: http://www.map.hackney.gov.uk/gismapgallery/Maps/Tom%20Duane%20Maps/Places%20of%20Worship/Places%20of%20Worship.pdf The address is: London Underground Ltd, Manor House Station, Green Lanes, LONDON, N4 1BX.

- The boundary runs down the centre of the road, I reverted the article, as the next sentence stated that it was on the boundary with Hackney. The station itself is constructed underneath the park. There's one exit marked on that map, near (40). Cheers Kbthompson 14:05, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- I came across the Ordnance Survey Election Maps (http://www.election-maps.co.uk/formFrame.htm) that show London borough boundaries among other things. It places the Haringey/Hackney border on the Western side of Green Lanes and Seven Sisters. It is hard for me to tell whether the station platforms lie underneath the park or not, but I can see how that could be the case considering the line must somehow 'cut the corner' between Seven Sisters Rd and Green Lns. I'd still like to see a source on it, if possible. In the end it depends on whether you look at the platforms (very likely to be in Haringey), the substation (Hackney) or the address (Hackney) as the deterring factor. Cheers. :) sweek (talk) 07:44, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- As noted above, the postcode for the station is N4 1BX, which is in Hackney. This is literally a borderline case, but the page should reflect that physically it strandles the border. The current wording of "near to the borough boundary with the London Borough of Hackney" is misleading. Nick Cooper (talk) 17:03, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

editI am sure the photo labelled 'Eastbound platform looking north' is in fact the westbound platform looking south. The eastbound platform is dead straight. It is the westbound platform that has the concave curve in it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.146.222.189 (talk) 21:56, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
- I'll check it when I remember, but I think it's right. The platform exits/entrances are towards the front of the eastbound [platform and towards the rear of the westbound. The image you mention clearly shows platform exits/entrances are towards the front of the train. HughJLF (talk) 23:55, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
- Take another quick look at the other platform photos. The other two are labelled correctly - the eastbound platform is straight, the westbound platform has a concave curve in it. If that doesn't convince you, blow up the photo in question and you will see the platform board reads, '1 Heathrow T4&123 2 Uxbridge'! :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.146.222.189 (talk) 10:22, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
- I'm amazed you can read anything on that photo, no matter how much you magnify it. A westbound destination shows clearly on the westbound photo but I can read nothing on the photo you're questioning. As I said, I'll look next time I'm there and if it's wrong it's easy to change. I don't think we're in an emergency situation here.HughJLF (talk) 10:43, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
- Okay was there this AM - checked & corrected. HughJLF (talk) 09:33, 19 October 2018 (UTC)
