met "George L." at USC film school

edit

This is something which I remember reading in "Skywalking: a biography of George Lucas" many years ago. If someone has a copy of that book then I suppose it could be better referenced. Spebudmak 22:26, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the tip. I can see some of the references to Lucas in the book and will add it to further reading. The whole thing is not available online, unfortunately, or I would use it as a citation. Thanks again! -- Erika aka BrillLyle (talk) 22:22, 28 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

separation from George Lucas

edit

According to the book: "Pixar Touch", Marcia separated with George after she took off with a stained-glass artisan working at Skywalker Ranch. George Lucas then started dating Linda Ronstad. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.138.143.53 (talk) 02:09, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

This reference is indeed found in the book Pixar Touch, which is available online here; however, I don't know if it's something that should be included in such a stub of an article, as it seems personal, possibly uncorroborated, and veers towards gossip vs. encyclopedic information. -- Erika aka BrillLyle (talk) 22:19, 28 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Needs more information

edit

What a sad short bio for someone who was paramount in the creation of the original trilogy. I guess there's little information though... she'll just be another unsung hero. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.121.22.10 (talk) 01:51, 16 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Agree. I'm going to work on the entry a bit. Have cleaned up existing citations and am trying to pull from existing citations to flesh out article better. -- Erika aka BrillLyle (talk) 22:20, 28 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Opinion on Disney Star Wars and the sequels

edit

Frankly this feels like trivia, and not very well cited either. Not to mention the story is primarily picked up by toxic elements in the star wars fandom to justify their horrendous behavior after the fact. I don't see any reason to include it. 46.97.170.112 (talk) 08:46, 23 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

But is it well sourced from a reliable primary source? I don't know enough to see that but from what other contributions she's made to film, it's pretty clear she is a highly talented editor who has put that final key piece of the puzzle into the films we loved. Given what we do know, these stories you refer to do have some degree of credibility, don't you agree? I know - we won't see the reply but I thought this was worth mentioning. 92.40.5.83 (talk) 20:00, 16 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Uncredited editing on Empire Strikes Back

edit

Where's the source for this? Nothing in the article supports her involvement in ESB and everything I've read says she wasn't involved in any meaningful way. WikiMane11 (talk) 00:58, 8 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

There's a picture of her and Irvin Kershner at an editing bay during post-production. I also found this screenshot of a tweet in which she elaborated on her edits for the trilogy. A picture and a tweet may not be reliable sources, but she did some minor editing on the film but was uncredited. J.W. Rinzler's book unfortunately doesn't mention her involvement.
