María Canals Barrera → Maria Canals-Barrera – Her own personal verified twitter spells her name without the accented í and hyphenates her last name. IMDb reflects that. Geraldo Perez (talk) 16:48, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
- Support, of course, as proposer. WP:COMMONNAME is a bit unclear as she has credits with and without the hyphen in her last name but her twitter, IMDb and the Variety reference spell it that way so the hyphenated version appears to be the most common form. Her first name is not spelled "María" anywhere and that looks to be hypercorrection of a Spanish form name. She spells it "Maria" and likely knows how to spell her own name. Geraldo Perez (talk) 17:12, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
- Support – I can't think of an instance I've ever seen her credited with the diactric in her name (though I don't dispute that there may be some). In any case, her WP:COMMONNAME is without it. We can leave a redirect at María Canals Barrera]. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 17:22, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
- Support but not because of WP:COMMONNAME, because the subject is American born. Same reasoning by which we should undo move on Puerto Rican Olympic gold medalist. In ictu oculi (talk) 16:48, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
