Left Nothing Records?
edit2003 | The Golden Age of Grotesque | 1 | 4 | Fifth studio album. First album since leaving Nothing Records. |
All of the albums I own say "nothing" on the CD cases. Including this one and Lest We Forget. Anyone care to explain? Cparker 18:37, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
Where is the "Dance With the Antichrist" album?
editI have the "Dance With the Antichrist" album but i can't find any information on Wikipedia about this album. Anyone care to share? X-x-X 06:28, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
--It's just a fan-made bootleg. All the official releases are on this page.
Spooky Kids
editThere are a few albums (compilations, live albums) released under the 'Spooky Kids' name, such as the 'White Trash' album. Should they not appear on this page too? ItsNotLupus 02:18, 10 April 2007 (UTC) (yes i finally signed after weeks ><)
Added it. Figured it was relevant enought to earn a page. Please feel free to remove it if it isn't relevent. Devilmaycare (talk) 23:30, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
THE GOLDEN AGE OF GROTESQUE
editThe album was certified plantinum right ?Then why the sales are under 500 000 copies :|
--the album wasnt certified platinum....it was certified gold in countries with a low target to achieve gold status —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.106.92.150 (talk) 23:44, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
Some soundtrack work is missing
editSome of Marilyn Manson's contributions to movie soundtracks are missing from this page. For instance, they did a cover of David Bowie's "Golden Years" for the movie Dead Man on Campus and a cover of "Suicide is Painless" for the movie Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2.
I notice that some of there songs are missing as well, i add some songs on the list. Like "The Beautiful People (The WWF Remix)".
Grotesk Burlkesk dvd
editAs far as I know this is a bootleg. Can anyone confirm it's official release? Litso (talk) 16:14, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
BLAHBLAH — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.244.137.162 (talk) 17:07, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
Music Videos
editI have ALL the music videos he's ever made on my PC, should I list them? I also have some of the ones (Like the murder doll's video) that he has been in, do you all want me to add them?Mutlee (talk) 14:06, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Missing albums
editI recently redid the discography page, and noticed a few additional albums that were not on the list including Genesis of the Devil, Lunch Boxes & Choklit Cows, and The Black Album. Others can be found here. I am not terribly familiar with the band, so I was not sure if there was some reason why these releases were not included. Fezmar9 (talk) 13:20, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
What about 'From Highway to Hell - The Ultimate Covers Collection' That appears to be missing too. 90.202.31.245 (talk) 21:26, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- That's a bootleg [1]. Yawaraey (talk) 21:33, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
There's also a tone of content on iTunes that isn't listed here. Charles Essie (talk) 03:33, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
Spooky Kids had NO demos
editA demo is a tape that a band makes and they send to a record producer in hopes of getting a record deal. (to DEMOnstrate their talent) What the spooky kids were making weren't demos, but they were commercially sold albums that we're released to the public by Beat up Your Mom Records. An independent record company. KMFDM FAN (talk) 23:46, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Italian charts
editThe Italian chart positions in the article are unreferenced. This site gives different figures [2] Can someone provide a reference for the charts provided? Freikorp (talk) 07:42, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
- I've taken the liberty of updating and referencing it myself. Freikorp (talk) 02:12, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
Worldwide record sales
editIP editors have recently been changing the number of records manson has sold word-wide. There was a previously a source from an official Marilyn Manson webpage that stated he had sold 11 million albums worldwide. It has since been replaced with references that don't back up the absurd number of records the article now claims he has sold, considering he has only had 2 platinum and 2 gold albums in America (his home country no less, equating to 3 million albums), I find it ridiculous to state he has sold 68 million records world-wide. Can someone please change it back to the way it was yesterday? I don't want to violate 3RR. Freikorp (talk) 04:49, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- Someone changed it to 50 million copies, but the reference indeed leads to the ofical Cooking Vinyl Records Site, and it is Confirmed, but still, it is a little weird, because simply if you add all the copies sold(counting Albums, EPs, Etc) its 22 million copies sold, without counting the countries where it didnt even scored platinum, but adding all of those should still be a couple platinums, i think it should be around 45 million copies, which I also saw on a few websites. Hellspriest (talk) 05:33, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
- Eh, as per WP:Verifiability: "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth; that is, whether readers can check that material in Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether editors think it is true." That being said, if you can find valid references from other sites claiming the number is indeed 45 million, and that are just as recent (if the reference is a few years old that may be why it says 45 million) we may be able to make minor changes, i.e Manson has sold between 45 and 50 million albums. Freikorp (talk) 06:11, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
I found an interview with Manson in which it indeed says that he has sold 44 million albums worldwide, check the link: http://www.mansonwiki.com/wiki/Interview:2009/06_Interview_with_Marilyn_Manson_%28The_Stool_Pigeon_Music_Newspaper%29 Hellspriest (talk) 06:55, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Antichrist Superstar Video
editI made all the edits on the last few pages concerning the video. I just wasn't signed in. I have the link and here it is! Enjoy!
Awards and Nominations
editSomeone should really make that page, Manson has a lot of awards and nomination. Hellspriest (talk) 06:07, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
Orphaned references in Marilyn Manson (band) discography
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Marilyn Manson (band) discography's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "ARIA":
- From ARIA Charts: "ARIA Charts - Gold and Platinum ARIA Accreditation Awards". Australian Recording Industry Association. Retrieved 16 October 2011.
- From List of music recording certifications: "Australian Recording Industry Association". Australian Recording Industry Association. Retrieved 2008-06-02.
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 09:17, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
What about "Solid"?
edit"Solid" I noticed is not on here, the song he was featured in with Mr.Oizo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.174.194.165 (talk) 10:48, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
