The sentence "In the run-up to World War II, Francis Bell was the Defence Security Officer in Singapore in 1936 MI5" is muddled and probably inaccurate. The date is either 1936 or "in the run up to World War II", not both. If he was a DSO he was not MI5.Royalcourtier (talk) 06:17, 4 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

It should be noted that, for a number of years, the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) has carried an incorrect credit for Mary Hayley Bell — The Shrike (film). She is listed here, billed 17th in the cast listings. That credit actually belongs to the American actress Mary Bell who also appeared in the Broadway version of the play and whose photograph appears in Wikimedia Commons. The same photo is appended to Wikipedia's entry for The Shrike (play).
As of this writing, the article's section header "Stage/film roles" credits Mary Hayley Bell with appearing on Broadway in 1928, when she was 17 years old, and in 1935, although she lived with her parents in Hong Kong, Tientsin and Singapore until 1939. There is no indication that Mary Hayley Bell, whose acting roles were confined to a handful of small parts in England, ever performed in the U.S. There are two separate listings for the American actress Mary Bell in IMDb (here and here) as well as in the Internet Broadway Database (IBDb) (here and here). —Roman Spinner(talk)(contribs)23:49, 20 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Is a forum post- "Axis History Forum Post Number:#1 Postby Peter H on 25 April 2009, 13:16"- really a good citation for a fairly important part of her father's military career? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.144.76.135 (talk) 14:11, 22 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
