We really need to rename this page "Mary K. Izaguirre," as that's the name she's using as Surgeon General (she recently married). I'm not sure how to do it and redirect everything, though. I've changed her name throughout the article.Don.H.40 (talk) 04:00, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
She was nominated under that name. She doesn't use that name anymore. If you look at the source of the Wikipedia photograph of her, you'll see that although the link is for "Mary V. Kreuger," the page is titled "Mary K. Izaguirre." The Army press releases refer to her as "Mark K. Izaguirre." The Army MEDCOM Homepage lists her as the MEDCOM Commander--Mary K. Izaguirre. So if she uses that name, how do we change the WP:COMMONNAME? Or are we just ignoring what she calls herself--and what teh Army now calls her? And I mean that as a serious question. Having spoken with you before, I agree with you on a name change. However, I say that a month be given for non-primary sources to include the new name before we change any article names. SuperWIKI (talk) 13:17, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
