Max's Surname's Origin?

edit

Quote from reference to "Rokitansky"

"‘Even Max’s surname [Rockatansky], a deconstructionist’s dream, embodies death itself, referring as it does to a particular method of medical deconstruction, the postmortem examination. The name seems to invite analysis of the film, a detective’s search for clues which must explain the dreadful trajectory taken by the hero, a veritable descent into hell’. McAuliffe offered an explanatory footnote, ‘“With Karl von Rokitansky of Vienna (1804-78), the gross (naked eye) autopsy reached its apogee. Rokitansky utilised the microscope very little and was limited by his own humoral theory”. (Encyclopedia Britannica)’." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nucleophilic (talkcontribs) 03:27, 21 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hold on.. this doesn't seem to say that he surname comes from Rokitansky--it just said that one could deconstruct the last name to fit this historical figure. This isn't an assertion as I read it, it's just historical supposition. Is there a quote that distinctly and absolutely says that this doctor lent his name to Max? I agree. If you read the reference, it's nothing more than a student's theory in a thesis paper. I've removed it.MartinezMD (talk) 01:25, 11 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Jessie and Sprog Citations

edit

In the infobox, do Jessie and Sprog being his wife and son really need to be cited? The first film very firmly establishes who they are and their relationships to Max. Just wanted to ask since I noticed Jessie's has an "unreliable source" notice next to it. 69.35.177.180 (talk) 21:47, 29 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Well, the "deceased" part probably needs a citation, since the last time Jessie is referred to in the series (in the first movie), it's stated that she's still alive. 74.111.121.164 (talk) 13:07, 15 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Infobox character: children

For one thing, it has of course already been stated and proven with sources that the 2015 game and the films are not connected, that the Fury Road comics are canon since George Miller co-wrote them, and that nowhere in the film or in the comic shows Glory becoming Max's adoptive daughter.
