name change
editI think it is reasonable to change the name to Melaka island. Not only it is the official name, also Malaka in Greek means "asshole". Ladnerg310 (talk) 13:04, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- You want to move the article in part to have the spelling be closer to the Greek word for asshole? As for the official name, do you have any links to official pages of the island? Please add them to the article, it is very low on information. CMD (talk) 13:24, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- No, the opposite!!! The name as it is now sounds exactly like the Greek word. The name Melaka however does not mean anything in Greek.
- This applies also to the city and State of Melaka

- Melaka/Malaka is one letter off, Malacca/Malaka is two. Melaka/Malacca are much closer in pronunciation that either is to Malaka. Anyway, on those links the only island I see mentioned is Pulau Besar, I don't see anything on this island. CMD (talk) 01:17, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
