What’s with the plot summary?
editUnless the movie itself is strange and disjointed (which, if so, I humbly apologize and withdraw), I would recommend someone re-write the plot section of this article. As someone who has not seen the movie, it comes across like it was created from a much longer, thorough plot summary with huge sections deleted to make it shorter with little regard to how much the final product made sense. A few notable issues:
What does the parenthetical “after a fashion” mean in the first line? In the next line why are “mothering” and “performing well” treated as mutually exclusive things in an either/or sense? And what’s with the frenetic use of semicolons separating phrases, describing the main character accidentally contacting an old friend ; semicolon; who brings a lady friend and they arrive early but then; semicolon; “at the appointed time, four people are present”—-??
I could keep going, but suffice to say unless this is a film of the same ilk as Mulholland Drive, I would suggest a section rewrite. I would try my own hand at it, but I’ve never seen the movie. Laced8 (talk) 05:41, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
