Apologies, I was looking at the wrong source – the one that was previously in the article talkes about Elizabethan music, but I have found one that seems slightly stronger and which claims that the origin is not quite clear. In any case the sources agree that the music used for the song is an adaptation of Comedianten Dans. --bonadeacontributionstalk20:37, 31 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
