"when US wrestlers Mac Stein" - change to United States for consistency
"1930s and 1940s." - replace the period with a comma
"who won a tournament in Monterrey, Nuevo León" - remove Nuevo León because it is unnecessary
"The title would later be won by Irma González on a show held in the el Toreo de Cuatro Caminos bullfighting arena in Naucalpan, State of Mexico." - remove this because it is a reptition of the same sentence before it
"leading to researches concluding that it was most likely González Women's Championship that was defended." - researchers and the last part of this sentence is very confusing. Please clarify
"The championship lineage From" - remove the captial F and replace with the same letter but in lowercase
"Mexico City ban of women's wrestling" - on
"is unclear and for large stretches of time undocumented." - is unclear and was undocumented for a long period of time
"based on the fact that she was the reigning Mexican Women's Championship," - Champion
"to promote the championship and determine who should challenge or win the championship." - reptition of championship
"instead promoters holding shows in Mexico City could petition the commission to have the champion work their show" - work on their show
Additional on the "Occidente" line. So it is believed that in order to drum up extra local interest in the championship match the promoters tried to put a local spin on it and advertised it as the "Occidente Women's Championship", when in fact it was the same championship that Irma Gonzales won outside of Guadalajara, for one night they just gave it a different name. There are other cases where this has been done in Lucha Libre, someone is the champion of say "Distrito Federal", but are booked to defend in the State of Mexico then "magically" for one night that person is announced as the "State of Mexico Champion", but never referred to as such again. Not sure how to word it without getting into too many details that are not related to the Women's Championship. MPJ-DK01:30, 26 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
