Merging three articles on Mahalasa

edit

There are three articles on mahalasa. The other two are named mhalasa and shree Mahalasa. I am going to attempt to merge all 3 in this article. I am not sure what to do next. But somebody can help me with that later. I am going to add information and photos of the temple as well. --Kaveri 14:25, 4 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Moving page (renaming)

edit

Hello, i think this page should be renamed to Mhalsa. In sanskrit it is Mhāḷasā. Same goes for Marathi language, and all other languages. I have no idea where did this "Mahalasa" came up from. It gets pronounced as "Mahāḷasā" and not Mhāḷasā. If nobody objects to this in one week, i might remane the page "boldly".

What are your opinions @Kaveri:? —usernamekiran (talk) 14:20, 17 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

I think the confusion is because you are mixing two different figures because of similar names. Mhalasa ie Mahalasa Narayani is a goddess in Goa in the Vaishnava tradition, hence the Narayani part added to the name. Mhalasa connected to Khandoba is clearly Shaivite. She is definitely not Mahalasa. Putting both these in one is creating confusion. Putting image and information as if it is one entity is misleading. Is there a possibility to separate the two pages and create Mhalasa disambiguation page may be? Sorry for not responding @Kiran: to your earlier request before. I was on a long hiatus.
