GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

This is a very interesting article, about a man with a long and distinguished career. It's in very good shape, and I have reviewed it below according to the criteria for Good Articles.

  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose quality:
The use of prose is good within the article and all-in-all, it is very well written.
    B. MoS compliance for lead, layout, words to watch, fiction, and lists:
The layout is good, particularly the lead section which summarises the rest of the article well.
  2. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
    A. References to sources:
The article is well referenced. I've changed the link to the list of witnesses to the Iraq Enquiry to 1 February as it was linking to 11 January.
    B. Citation of reliable sources where necessary:
There are plenty of appropriately placed citations. However, could you find a reference for Baron Walker's place of birth and education?
It is referenced. It's the very first reference (the BBC article "A Lifetime of Service"). HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:53, 20 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
    I've copied that reference to the line. Harrison49 (talk) 22:13, 20 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
    C. No original research:
There does not appear to be any original research.
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. Major aspects:
    B. Focused:
The content covers the subject well and is well-focused.
  4. Is it neutral?
    Fair representation without bias:
It is written from a neutral point of view.
  5. Is it stable?
    No edit wars, etc:
The article does not appear to change detrimentally day by day.
  6. Does it contain images to illustrate the topic?
    A. Images are copyright tagged, and non-free images have fair use rationales:
    B. Images are provided where possible and appropriate, with suitable captions:
The sole image is freely licensed and uses an appropriate caption.
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
    Congratulations, this is a Good Article. Harrison49 (talk) 22:13, 20 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
