editThis article is very congratulatory, and while I'm not saying that Forbes doesn't deserve that (or that she does, for that matter), I think it's pretty POV. -Branddobbe 10:03, Sep 25, 2004 (UTC)
Michelle Forbes, Not 24
editWith regards to the paragraph about the series 24, I have removed the second season's plot description, as it had nothing to do with Michelle Forbes, and was also an announced spoiler. -67.142.130.11 06:57, 25 October 2005 (UTC)
Seeking Clarification
editQuote: "For some time, Forbes was in a relationship with her Homicide co-star Reed Diamond."
Question: In the show, OK. Real-life too? elpincha 17:41, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- She dated him in real life. It's mentioned in several interviews she did during her run on Homicide. However, I have no idea if they are still together. I seem to remember reading an article saying they weren't, but I can't confirm that. Circleof05ths (talk) 20:51, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Wondering why Ross Kettle redirects to Michelle Forbes? 141.154.186.171 (talk) 15:48, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
Birthday
editMichelle Forbes will be 40 years old on 2007-01-08
- Sure? IMDB claims another date of birth. --22:26, 7 February 2007 (UTC)~
- Actually, according to The New York Times (which trumps the IMDb anyday, as well as other sources like StarTrek.com), she was born on February 17. [1] MSN Movies claims the same thing. [2] So, unless we can get something more official than that – like an official site, a birth certificate, CNN, another New York Times article, or some other magazine/newspaper of note, her birthday should stay at February 17th. --From Andoria with Love 04:45, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
According to birthdatabase.com, a site that uses official documents, Michelle R. Forbes was born January 8, 1965 and resides in Los Angeles, CA Hotwine8 00:56, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
If New York Times is really that accurate, check this out. Taye Diggs, born January 2, 1972 yet the article states 1971[3]. I'm changing the date according to birthdatabase.com and IMDB. Hotwine8 01:03, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm, I see... well, there goes my trust for The New York Times. Thanks for "putting me in my place," as it were. ;) --From Andoria with Love 05:52, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- Um... there's a problem here. Birthdatabase.com states that Michelle R. Forbes was born in Los Angeles, California. Michelle Forbes, the actress, was born in Austin, TX. What gives? --From Andoria with Love 17:39, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- ...unless that's supposed to be their current residence? Seems kinda silly to me, but since none of the other names I looked up don't have correct birth places, I guess that's what it is... --From Andoria with Love 17:52, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
This age of birth thing needs a good source. IMDb is not that. It's not a reliable source. I doubt birthdatabase is either but I'm willing to defer the opinions at WP:RS/N if anyone wants to challenge that. So the NYT profile is the best source but even that isn't a great source since it's a profile rather then an article. Unless this can be cleared up, it may be best just to remove the age thing, if no reliable secondary source discusses it, it probably isn't notable. Incidentally, the Battlestar wiki doesn't even come close to being a RS, especially since they probably got it from us Nil Einne (talk) 19:48, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Half-Life 2
editSomeone may want to make mention of the fact that Michelle Forbes also does the voice of Dr. Judith Mossman in the Half-Life 2 games. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Easy506 (talk • contribs) 23:47, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Picture
editWhy not use the picture fron Ro Laren? -- Henriok (talk) 21:03, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- It can't be used because the image is copyrighted. We're using it as fair-use on the grounds that it portrays Ro Laren and there's no free equivalent. Using character shots for actors is generally frowned upon in any case, but would be more difficult here, because the picture is clearly of Laren (i.e. with facial prosthetics) and not Forbes.
