Disagree. The official results have her as "NIELSEN Mie Oe", which albeit slightly incorrect (should be OE NIELSEN Mie, if transcribed, which is a scandal that it is still being done in 2016, but that is another discussion), has at least the initial of Østergaard spelled out. Her facebook page is "Mie Østergaard Nielsen", and most sources I find have her either as "Mie Østergaard Nielsen" or "Mie Ø. Nielsen". --Marbe166 (talk) 18:54, 23 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
The LEN (European Aquatics Federation) result database and profile has her as "Nielsen Mie Oe" [1], so even the official federations differ. The Danish Wikipedia has her as "Mie Ø. Nielsen" and other language versions have her as any of the three. Hence I see no strong reason to move back, as long as the redirects from both Mie Nielsen and Mie Ø. Nielsen work properly, which they do. (a smaller argument would be that there apparently, according to the German Wikipedia is a Danish Badminton player born 1982 called Mie Nielsen, but she has no German and no Danish wiki article.) --Marbe166 (talk) 22:45, 31 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
How her name is spelled in other languages is not relevant for the purpose of this article, however. Neither how names of other people with the same or similar name are spelled. We should follow policy here. You didn't comment on the guideline I mentioned (in combination with the examples from English sources) or referred to possible other relevant guidelines. I'm aware that some databases use "OE." or similar, and for good reason as they want to avoid ambiguity in identity, but that doesn't mean that this is the common use.
