Gamy is not correct.

His full name is Mikaël Samy Silvestre

Silvestre is listed as "People from Guadeloupe" but the article doesn't say what his connection is to the island.

FA Premier League 2007-08

edit

He played in 3 games during the 2007-08 season. Didn't he get a medal ? Aaron carass (talk) 19:48, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

No, the minimum number of games to get a medal is ten (unless you have special dispensation from the Premier League). – PeeJay 20:16, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Removed and added a comment on the page.

Slivestre's height

edit

We may well have alot of French players at Arsenal, but it is still a British club. We've got the young English kids coming through so stop knocking us. Perry Groves (talk) 15:50, 3 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

The reference provided gives Silvestre as being 1.84m, as does L'Équipe. You comments above seem to have nothing to do with Silvestre height. I will revert his height to 1.84m.

Arsenal play their home games at the Emirates in the English Premier League. Silvestre is an Arsenal player. Perry Groves (talk) 12:31, 4 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Are you trying to make the point that because he plays in England his height should be listed in feet and inches ?
No problem, we can list his height in feet and inches, whatever 1.84m converts to in feet and inches should be given as his height and the references put reinstated.
Or is there a problem with the references ?

Rennes

edit

Why do we just have Silvestre's first club down as Rennes and not Stade Rennais? – Michael (talk) 16:46, 4 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I assume it's for the same reason that we pipe Olympique Lyonnais as Lyon and Olympique de Marseille as Marseille. – PeeJay 17:51, 4 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Does that mean we need to start piping Deportivo Toluca F.C. as Toluca? – Michael (talk) 00:53, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
I don't know. Just take each team on a case-by-case basis. – PeeJay 07:45, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
OK, I was just doing what I believe was right, but technically I was wrong, which means I made a mistake on Sébastien Le Toux's page piping Stade Rennais F.C. as Stade Rennais and not Rennes which was where he spent his youth career at. – Michael (talk) 02:02, 6 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Honestly, I think either "Rennes" or "Stade Rennais" is fine, but for consistency's sake we should stick with just one. – PeeJay 08:39, 6 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

True dat', if I was the only one that piped the club aa Stade Rennais while everyone piped them as Rennes, it would make things complicated. – Michael (talk) 00:57, 8 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
