Merge

I agree that a merger is needed. The Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs no longer exists as an independent Ministry and the Ministry of External Affairs carries out its tasks.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Kbdessai (talk • contribs) 15:19, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- No merge. A historical entity, even if merged into another entity, can still have its own article. Article Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs is long enough to be an independent article. If merged, the content about Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs will be disproportionately long in article Ministry of External Affairs (India). --Neo-Jay (talk) 14:39, 4 August 2017 (UTC)

Merge proposal
editI propose merging Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs into Ministry of External Affairs (India). I think the content in Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs can easily be explained in the context of Ministry of External Affairs (India), and a merge would not cause any article-size or weighting problems in Ministry of External Affairs (India).
