POV
editThis article appears to have pretty bad POV problems. Someone familiar with the subject should take a look --Improv 15:03, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know anything about this person but I could contact but Mohammad Ali Kadivar, assistant professor of sociology and international studies at Boston College, who wrote a relevant article that mentions Kadivar. He might be able to give a neutral assessment. There doesn't seem to be a CV online for Mohammad Mehdi Zahedi, just a list of publications. Mrsedashwoodferrars (talk) 01:55, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
The article says He was selected as the most distinguished mathematician of the world in 1998 and 2002 by the American Mathematics Society. and cites a Russian website that makes that claim. However ams.org (the website of the American Mathematics Society) mentions neither Zahedi's name anywhere I can find, nor an annual "most distinguished mathematician of the world" award. Is this legit, and if so, is there a confirmation from a better source, like the AMS itself? -Delirium 18:34, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- This claim came from Zahedi himself and appeared on his website and published CV. It is a lie. Sinooher (talk) 09:00, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
In Zahedi's profile it is claimed that he is a member of New york Academy of Sciences. An investigation taken place by BBC Persian in July 2009 debunked this claim: http://www.bbc.co.uk/persian/iran/2009/07/090722_wkf-zaheid-nyas-membership.shtml.
His profile also claims that he is named among the most prominent Mathematicians of the century by American Mathematical society for which there is no evidence found on American Mathematical society website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alirezayazdani21 (talk • contribs) 22:00, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Does Not Belong..
editThis article should not be in this list. It could no doubt be on several other lists, but not this one....--Oracleofottawa (talk) 03:53, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
