Momo Hirai → Momo (singer) – She is known mononymously as Momo and the primary topic for Momo (singer); consistency with other Twice members. —hueman1 (talk • contributions) 16:18, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- Are you certain that there is only one Momo? The dab page lists three: In ictu oculi (talk) 18:28, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hitomi Momoi (born 1974), J-pop singer who is a former member of "I've Sound" and a member of Por
- Momoko Tsugunaga (born 1992), J-pop singer and idol, member of group Berryz Koubou
- Momo Hirai (born 1996), Japanese singer and member of K-pop girl group Twice
- Also curious. She has never released any solo work as "Momo", so this is just how she's known to her fans yes? In ictu oculi (talk) 19:38, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- @In ictu oculi: Yup, I checked that disambiguation page to verify if she's the only singer that goes by that mononym and turns out, she's the only one, other musicians who have the same, or a similar name has been addressed already by Alexanderlee (Alex) below. About the other one, a quick Google search for "Momo" yielded results for the challenge and Momo Hirai. —hueman1 (talk • contributions) 00:41, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

- Support: There may be three singers listed as as above, but Momo is the only one of them actually named Momo. The other two are Momoi and Momoko, and neither of their articles mention them using the name Momo. The only other person on the musician section of the dab page who is called Momo is Momo Kodama, though she is a pianist and not a singer. Alex (talk) 18:39, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:MONONYM, her last name is widely used and is the best disambiguation for biographies. Evaders99 (talk) 21:56, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Evaders99: WP:MONONYM also says that "only if the single name is used as a true artist's name (stage name, pseudonym, etc.) can the recommendations of Nicknames, pen names, stage names, cognomens below be followed" and this arguably falls under that category (see WP:STAGENAME). —hueman1 (talk • contributions) 00:57, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- In most Kpop artists, this isn't a "stage name" in the true sense of a unique pseudonym used only for public consumption. Nearly all Kpop artists go by "Group-name's first-name" and the examples given are clearly pseudonym usage. Zayn Malik would be an example for Western artists.Evaders99 (talk) 01:05, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

- @Evaders99: Why do we need to disambiguate this article with her last name anyway? There's no other singers who goes by that name. Zayn Malik is easily recognisable by both his mononym and full name, Momo isn't (that much). —hueman1 (talk • contributions) 01:28, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:NATURALDIS, her full name is just as easily recognizable and I don't see a need in moving. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 22:13, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Nkon21: Consider WP:STAGENAME. I doubt that her full name is as recognisable as her mononym, I think Google Trends agrees about this. Here's (another Google Trends result.) —hueman1 (talk • contributions) 00:57, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- It's pretty obvious from press articles that WP:NATURALDIS is better here. In ictu oculi (talk) 14:26, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

- Oppose this is not the band's fan-pedia. She doesn't release under this name, the name is only in the context of the band and per WP:MONONYM, her last name is widely used so is the best disambiguation as usual for biographies — Preceding unsigned comment added by In ictu oculi (talk • contribs) 18:12, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
