POV Judging the Ella & Alan's motivation as intrinsically good, bad, right or wrong is ipso facto POV. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.110.122.33 (talk) 06:57, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Monkey shines.jpg
editImage:Monkey shines.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Plot Summary Missing Information
editI was watching this film tonight (IFC channel!) while reading a book at the same time (hello, information overload!), and because I was reading I was distracted from a critical plot point. So I checked here to get some clarification after the film ended and found that the whole plot twist and the crucial first murders are not even mentioned. Since I cannot remember specifics, and I cannot be sure if the person killed was a doctor or someone else, I cannot in good faith edit the plot summary. Needless to say, this is what is missing:
After Ella kills the bird and the nurse leaves, Alan finds out about something the doctor, I think, did wrong. Was it that he botched the surgery? That's the info I missed. This is when Alan's rage really starts to go out of control. It is also the first time that Ella acts out this rage in a way that results in killing a person, in this case two people. She lights a match under the bed of two people having sex, I'm presuming that this was the doctor and "Linda". Well, that whole episode and crucial plot point is missing from the plot summary. As you can see—whoever is reading this—I can't provide an adequate description. Hopefully this gets noticed soon and the summary gets updated with the omitted information. A Cult Classic?
editAlthough a few sites describe this film as a "cult classic", I think it is too obscure to qualify. It is not shown in theaters anymore, even ones specializing in showing campy older movies, and it's DVD sales are weaker than the many independent films that George Romero produced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.155.218.100 (talk) 13:47, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
First studio film?
editI don't know how Monkey Shines can be Romero's first studio film considering that Creepshow, released in 1982, was made by Warner Bros., which is a studio much more major than Orion Pictures. Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 04:03, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
