Reverted

edit

Why were my two points reverted! One was in the trivia section that i didn't get to complete, and the other was a goof. Please tell me why? Davie4264 20:55, 21 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dubious relevance of David Benson-Pope material

edit

What's the relevance of the DBP reference? It's not as if The Simpsons were actively referring to the matter at hand (which didn't become public knowledge until many many years later), nor does it seem particularly relevant nowadays. It seems like it's just another opportunity to put some tenuous salt on that obscure wound. dritchie 04:38, 30 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

its not burn's casino, its the vegas town casino, so that wrong information makes no sense in "goofs"

Fair use rationale for Image:Aabf17.jpg

edit

Image:Aabf17.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Gone without a trace?

edit

Ok, what's the deal with someone out there seemingly randomly deleting parts from the cultural references sections (arguably the most interesting section)??? Not just my posts either, but some posts have been wiped, and I can't find any reason for them being deleted, save that the 'deleter' had a whim. I personally LOVE the Cultural Ref. section. It gives me a lot of back-knowledge about the in-jokes that I wouldn't otherwise get. I expect it does the same for other people. I understand them being deleted if they're just quotes -I've deleted a few myself-, but genuine references should NOT be deleted. Thanks for your time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.31.2.126 (talk) 14:51, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Comments

edit
  • Wikilink Mr Burns in lead
  • Make sure sentences with quotes end with citations
  • You use the word "wrote" a lot in the reception section. Perhaps trying adding a bit more flavor and use different words?
  • Add quotation marks to The Joy of Sect

Just makes suggested changes above and it will be good to go. Nice work, Ruby2010 comment! 15:33, 27 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Title reference

edit

How come no mention of the title being a reference to the Beatles song "Money Can't Buy Me Love" is present? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.8.21.11 (talk) 01:49, 15 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Probably because there is no reliable source, and without one it is WP:OR CTJF83 23:03, 15 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
