... that 17-year-old dancer Suzanne Farrell performed a lead role at the premiere George Balanchine's ballet Movements for Piano and Orchestra after learning the steps in an apartment days prior?

- Interesting piece, on good sources, offline sources accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. I find fascinating what Stravinsky had to say about the news eyes. But fine, let's please the public. How about dropping "premiere", but say stepping in for colleague who had to lie flat and taught her these steps from her bed? We could shorten the choreographer to last name. "at age 17" would be shorter, "dancer" is not needed when talking about ballet, - perhaps get the title to the front? - In the article, I made minor changes but would not know how to fix the sentence about the planned lead dancers. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:48, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- I think it is important to mention the premiere. A teenager chosen by Balanchine to dance a lead role is a big deal, let alone the premiere. I still went with "17-year-old" because it works better when I wrote the hook out. I also added a hook about what Stravinsky wrote. I rephrased the sentence about the two planned leads in the article.
- ALT1: ... that days before the premiere of Balanchine's ballet Movements for Piano and Orchestra, 17-year-old Suzanne Farrell learned a lead role in an apartment, from a colleague who was on bed rest?
- ALT2: ... that Igor Stravinsky said Balanchine's ballet Movements for Piano and Orchestra to his eponymous music emphasises on "relationships of which I had hardly been aware"? Corachow (talk) 11:41, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- Great! ALT1 is approved. ALT2 can be polished, thinking that emphasis is a noun and doesn't fit in the construction. I may be wrong, of course. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:59, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- That was a mistake I made when I copy-pasted the quote. It is now fixed. Corachow (talk) 12:05, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
