Tide

edit

please take note of the tv ad of TIDE which it says 1>2! whatever the explanation, it is very confusing to school children who are just starting their math lessons. my niece kept on arguing to her mom regarding the matter because she said that according to the tv commercial 1>2!thanks

Okay, so why are you complaining to Wikipedia? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 221.121.187.152 (talk) 09:06, 26 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

MTRCB doesn't classify ads. They're handled by the Ad Board. –HTD 07:24, 4 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

File:General Patronage.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

edit

An image used in this article, File:General Patronage.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 30 December 2011

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

Inaccurate edits

edit

There have been a spate of edits changing the age information for the PG rating from "13" to "14". This is inconsistent with the Philippine government's own website and their Classification body (Ch.4, Section 1B) which state "Viewers below thirteen (13) years old must be accompanied by a parent or supervising adult when admitted into a “PG” film." I appreciate that classifications can change, but I find it unlikely in this case given that the source is the government's own site. Please do not change the age again without providing a source. Rating icons?

edit

When you normally go in to a movie theater in the Philippines, you can see a particular rating icon for a movie by the board. The rating icons look like rectangular boxes, which look like filmstrips, with the rating indicator and color (G (green), PG (blue), R-13 (yellow), R-16 (orange), and R-18 (red)). The MTRCB started showing them since early 2013. SuperArticleGuy (talk) 07:26, 20 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Criticism?

edit

Assuming that there are sources to back it up, I think there should be a section on how the board met criticism for its practices and how they give ratings to media, like when they reluctantly gave a PG-13 to Passion of the Christ yet banned works that gained notoriety for graphic or violent content.
