Date of Birth

edit

The Social Security Death Index (SSDI) is a public database providing information on deceased American citizens and legal permanent residents. The SDDI is published monthly by the Social Security Administration and is used numerous times in a multitude of articles on this site to confirm dates of birth and date. Please be aware Melodie is deceased. She is not living as per your edit justification. The Social Security Administration is a reliable source of information as it is a legal government entity of the U.S. Federal Government.--XLR8TION (talk) 20:23, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

1) it is a primary source document, for which there is in general a great preference for not using whether in articles about living people or not; 2) there is nothing to verify the record for the Parker you have found is the subject of the article. It may be but to make the claim simply based on the similar names is not acceptable use of primary sources. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 20:32, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
