The Mumbai Police official site has telephone numbers which never seems to have been updated. all nos. listed are in 7 digits instead of the 8 digits presently in force.

Removed unsubstantiated line about alleged 'crimes involving Mumbai police'. It sounded extremely POV and was not backed by references.

Suggestions

edit

Good start but...

  1. More content required
  2. 100 should be integrated within the text and not as a separate section.
  3. Website should be under ==External links==
  4. Section titles should be in title case
  5. Poor grammar and spelling. Do a spell check
  6. For the sectional titles, ...of Mumbai Police" the text "of Mumbai police is redundant. Remove it.
  7. Add this category to the page: Metropolitan law enforcement agencies of India
  8. Never use titles such as Mr. Miss. Mrs. Shri. Dr. on wikipedia.
  9. History
  10. Sensational cases
  11. Budget

The article could really help with

More content

  • History - Why was Mumbai given a seperate police force? (and not part of maharastra police) Under which law was it created?
  • Administrative information, crime numbers increase/decrease. Employment process, benifits. Differences from Maharastra police,if any
  • Intellence collection, network, intellegence budgets
  • Special squads: Encounter specialists

and alignment/restructure of information

Name Change

edit

When did the Bombay Police change its name to Mumbai Police? Was it in 1995, when Bombay's name was changed, or later? Paris1127 (talk) 15:21, 8 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
