The article says a reward of "Rs. 50 lakh (5 million)" Does this mean that one lakh is 100,000 of something, or is a lakh so valuable that 50 of them are equal to 5 million pounds or dollars or something? What is Rs? rupees? Please put in comprehensible and unamgiguous terms that readers around the world are able to follow. Thanks. Edison21:29, 10 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
according to Lakh a lakh is 100,000 of anything. According to Rupee the standard abbreviation for this currency is "Rs". so "Rs. 50 lakh" == 5,000,000 Rupees.DES(talk)00:38, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Satanoid has uploaded this picture from some old file and has linked while adding the following in the caption "Maninder Pal Singh Kholi arrested 5 years after murder" to mislead the readers on the recency of the image. This is how, Kohli looked like when he was arrested. This is whereSatanoid comes in and pushes WP:UNDUE attention on religion via an IP which is his IP Range. Satanoid is known to have been involved in other article across wikipedia where his sole aim seems like to create confusion and hatred against Sikh community. As such, this act from him is no different. This is also how Kohli looks like in almost all (except one) of the pictures that show up in Google search other that just one picture that Satanoid has interest in. What is the motive of searching and linking his oldest picture here? Undue attention on religion and appearance to spread hatred? The hate picture has been replaced with this one; if you feel otherwise please discuss.--RoadAhead=Discuss=17:32, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is about the rape of an innocent girl. Its got nothing to do with her or his religion or Sikh extremism. Dragging religion into this won't further your cause. One can't apologize for his crime or for the way he looked at the time he murdered Hannah and he cant be excused for criminal activities because he belongs to a particular faith. If thats the way he always dressed until he raped and murdered the girl then so be it, if he changed or disguised his identity for obvious reasons, thats something that can be addressed. I will also add that the Indian Police were given this image to carry out the extensive search and to their credit they caught him. Thanks Satanoid (talk) 18:03, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Satanoid, I'll address your reply above point by point to show how your editing behavior on wikipedia is not adding encyclopedic information but to create confusion, mislead and create hatred against a particular community.
Nowhere in my reply did I talk about innocence of the subject (Kohli) and nowhere did I apologize for his crime. Still, in your usual attempt to create prejudice you use the following sentence to appeal to emotion of the wikipedia community - "This is about the rape of an innocent girl ... One can't apologize for his crime .... Can you justify this to the discerning readers?
My comments above, my edit on the article, and the subject of the article, none talk about the ongoing issue with the propagandist article that you created called "Sikh Extremism". The problem with your edits on that article have already been pointed to by me here. Nevertheless, you bringup that topic into this discussion in another attempt to create hatred and leverage that on this article in favor of your agenda.
Than you say -"Dragging religion into this won't further your cause". This is very outrageous and insulting comment from you, not only insulting against whom it is directly addressed at, but also the greater Wikipedia community because its you who are paying undue attention on religion in majority of the articles you touch on Wikipedia, not me. Not sure if you expect the the wikipedia community to be illiterate or are you trying to leverage on the lack of knowledge about such issues and busyness of the community? For the sake of saving time of others who may wish to read this ongoing discussion let me remind you that this is where you have pushed WP:UNDUE attention on religion via an IP which is in your IP Range. Other IPs that you have been editing from have already been classified by other other editors on other articles where you have been carrying on similar agenda.
Your comments further include "..he cant be excused for criminal activities because he belongs to a particular faith". This is yet another attempt to hide personal agenda by appealing to emotion of the neutral readers. If you are true to your words, will you be kind enough to show where I've asked to excuse Kohli for "criminal activities because he belongs to a particular faith"?.
This is further proof where Satanoid wants to spread prejudice and hatred by stubbornly addressing the convict with middle name "Singh" instead of his last name "Kohli".
Satanoid has also circumvented answering to my earlier objection on his uploading this picture from some old file and linking on article by adding in caption "Maninder Pal Singh Kohli sentenced to life imprisonment on November 25, 2008 five years after Hannahs murder" to mislead the readers on the recency of the image. Can you explain the use of this caption with the image that you used? This is how, Kohli looked like when he was arrested and charged.
You need to put your religious obsession on one side and realize that this girl was brutally raped and murdered, I added to this article on todays news, I added something to John Lennon and the Vatican on yesterday's news. This is a serious brutal murder and the killer got what he deserved under the law. If you change my word format and change his disguise as he tried himself, that simply shows equal contempt for the family of Hannah Foster. End of... Oh really?, ...were you there with him all the time when "He referred to himself as Singh"? The first name of PM of India is "Manmohan" and last name is "Singh", check all the official documents where the name is required to be correct. The subject of this article's first name is "Maninderpal" and last name is "Kohli". Its getting funny now how you want to spread your hate against the Sikhs onto every article on Wikipedia as its evident in your statement - "...As does the PM of India who incidentally doesn't use his surname as do majority of Sikhs". Can you show the wikipedia readers that, PM of India has a last name and he does not "incidentally" use the last name? Stop pushing POV and inaccuracies onto Wikipedia --RoadAhead=Discuss=16:35, 4 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

This girl called the UK emergency phone number 999 and her call was deemed to be a hoax or a mistake and she was disconnected [1].
In my opinion, this is an important piece of her story that is missing from this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.199.124.74 (talk) 09:03, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
