This article is beyond a mess and it sounds like it was written by a middle schooler. (Not to mention the complete lack of citations.) And really, Karen started beauty school and "scared the devil" out of a classmate? Right.

The tone is unprofessional--the article sounds like it was written by well meaning friends--but the facts are accurate. I have a copy of the true crime book "Missy's Murder" by Karen Kingsbury who covered this case for the LA Times. I could use to provide citations when I have a little more time. I'll also try to make the style more suitable for an encyclopedia article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Miss Tabitha (talk • contribs) 05:07, 3 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have stubbed this article because it was a complete and total mess rife with speculation, poor grammar and odd, undue content about the differences between the real life case and the made-for-tv film. I am not familiar with the case so I did not attempt to rewrite the content and I really could not make sense of the content that was present, so stubbing it seems like the best alternative for now. Where is the source that Randy’s surname is Orton? I can’t find anything about him, not even pictures and can only find sources that state his surname was Fernandez. Everytime I Google for Orton it only shows it’s that on this Wikipedia page. Where is this information coming from? 2600:6C47:BC00:513:187C:2585:9008:5490 (talk) 20:20, 27 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
