Original Research?
editI love seeing the list of leitmotifs in the scores, but I can't help but think that the list, without any accompanying citations, is in violation of WP:NOR. I think these missing citations hurt the article on a practical level, too: I know that personally, I would love to read more about each of these leitmotifs and hear examples of them--yet there's nothing directing me to further my learning. Thoughts? Basementwall (talk) 16:20, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
- Ah, joining a conversation nearly a decade later. Well, better late than never. There has been exactly the same issue - I think exactly the same original editing - over at Talk:Music of The Lord of the Rings film series#Original Research, so I won't repeat myself here, anyone interested can read the stuff over there. Basically, Basementwall is correct, this is original research, if not full-blooded plagiarism and copyright violation from Doug Adams's book. In other words, if this isn't "original" then it is disgracefully badly cited, and it is lifting far too much from one book for the fair usage rules anyway. I shall cut it now, it's not as if this thread hasn't been open long enough. Chiswick Chap (talk) 16:17, 26 November 2022 (UTC)

Cover art
editThere's an issue with the infobox for the third film OST. I've added the cover art, but I noticed for some reason the field doesn't work. I have no idead, why. --H.McC. (talk) 09:41, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
Is no-one going to say this?
editThe Company Theme is a heroic variation on "Pippin's song" from Return of the King. 2A01:CB0C:CD:D800:D5F6:D323:B16:4006 (talk) 15:28, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

Music of The Hobbit films → Music of The Hobbit film series – This article was moved from that name in 2021 without discussion, but this title is misleading as this article only covers material from the Hobbit trilogy not music from the earlier Hobbit film adaptations. I feel like it should be moved back. ★Trekker (talk) 15:22, 28 May 2022 (UTC) And to add, the user who moved it appears to have been indef blocked.★Trekker (talk) 12:59, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
