editTo whoever added the American Idol tidbit: in my opinion, it is incorrect to add in tidbits from reality shows to a page discussing Nielsen ratings for a sports program. Scripted and reality programs unequivocably get higher ratings than sporting events--therefore, if you are to add in the idea that American Idol gets higher ratings than the NBA, you would have to add in just about every other show on network in primetime (CSI, Survivor, etc) as well and add them in relation to every other sport. If you are the same person who added the American Idol portion to the NBA on TNT page, I ask that you see my explanation on that page as well. Paulsen 18:51, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Why isn't there a link for the 2008 NBA Finals added yet? The ABC section only goes up to 2007. This site needs to be updated. Bigbrainkt (talk) 16:09, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
Cleanup
editTo take some of the clutter out of the article, I plan to move the tables to either a separate article or a separate part of the page.Phillip J. Fry 02:04, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Re-name?
editI'm thinking about re-naming this article. We should take the word "Nielsen" out of the title and have the word "television" in the title. This would make it a more intuitive title, and would make the article easier to find. A couple of options are:
- National Basketball Association television ratings — see, for example Stanley Cup Finals television ratings or World Series television ratings; or
- National Basketball Association on television — see, for example National Football League on television, or Major League Soccer on television.
