Major Company Updates
editThey have sold much of their footprint. Anyone up for adding their new business structure? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Occasio (talk • contribs) 18:32, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
Deletion of copyright-infringing material
editThis edit reverts all the edits by Keeseed and restores the page to the state it was in following the last edit by AKGhetto.
This was done because the edits are blatant copyright infringements of two Web sites. The basic about-the-company section was lifted directly from this page from Verisign, and the bankruptcy section was lifted directly from this page from The Rockbridge Report. These articles might make great sources, but one still must write them in one's own words. SchuminWeb (Talk) 04:01, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Portable Broadband
editA section should be created concerning NTELOS' "Portable Broadband Service". This is their 2.6ghz wireless internet solution using Navini hardware. This currently makes use of S-CMDA technology. http://www.ntelos.com/landline/residential/portablebroadband.html.

It still reads like an advertisement
editHonestly, the vast majority of the article still reads like an ad. The section removed by Jmoz2989 was perhaps the most egregious aspect, but still, the article basically reads like a commercial for nTelos's products and services. This is a company with a long history, founded in 1897, and has been known as Clifton Forge Waynesboro Telephone Company, CFW Communications, CFW-Intelos, and probably other names throughout its 100+ year history. No mention of how the company started out as a landline company and divertified into so many other businesses, including cable TV and directory assistance services. No mention of the company's 2000 merger with R&B Communications, which formed the modern company of nTelos. Also no mention of the company's 2003 bankruptcy due to over-leveraging, which led to the cancellation of all existing nTelos stock, and turning the company over to its creditors, or the issuance of new nTelos stock later on. Try some paragraph breaks
editThe history section is almost unreadable. Lou-Dawg (talk) 23:56, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- The history section was a blatant copyright infringement of the cited source. SchuminWeb (Talk) 01:40, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Lumos Networks
editAnyone up for updating to reflect the recent divestiture into two separate companies? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.12.89.52 (talk • contribs)
- We do need to do that, shouldn't we? SchuminWeb (Talk) 00:16, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
