I rewrote extensively. Most of it was just copy-editing and re-arranging. It would be nice to have a picture and an infobox; his major films need to have dates added and should be re-arranged in chronological order; and it would be nice to have a discography in case anyone felt like ordering some CDs after reading about him. Since when has Lucknow become a Punjabi City ? One might as well call Berlin as Vietnamese city !

Such glaring error reduces the trustworthiness of Wikipedia.

This article needs a major clean up

The death 19th August is incorrect. On 19th August, Mr. Khayyam has passed away. The date mentioned on the site of Mr. Naushad is correct.

This article needs a major clean up. There is too much of redundant information. And also we need more information like Nashad composed music for the famous TV serial “The sword of Tipu Sultan”. Hats off to Nashad, there will be no one like him ever again.

In Baiju Bawra, 'Amir Khan' and 'D V Paluskar' didn't make a debut. Ust Amir Khan was one of 20th century's most illustrious classical vocalists, so was DV sahab. They agreed to sing for the movie only because Naushad was composing. proposed move

I moved Naushad to Naushad Ali on the assumption that this would not be contentious. On my talk page the following comments appeared:

• Why was the page moved? Sorry could not understand "over redirect: disambiguation" . Naushad does not have a disambig currently. --Redtigerxyz ^Talk 04:28, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

The reason I moved it was so that I could then turn Naushad into a disambiguation page covering this name in its various spellings. This seems appropriate because

• there are 5 wikipedia articles about persons who have "Naushad" as one of their names
• there is a composer called Nashad, whose article I also intended to move
• there is a disambiguation page Nowshad, referring to the same Urdu/Persian/Arabic spelling, which I intended to incorporate in the new disambiguation page
• there are a couple of "Noshad"s, similarly
