Is Nero Caesar the best way to refer to this person? The emperor was Nero Caesar as well. How about Nero, son of Germanicus? PatGallacher (talk) 11:51, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Date of death

edit

What is the source for the date of death given as AD 30? According to Barrett in his book Caligula, Nero died some time before October 31 (p.xiii "Outline of significant events" and p.27.) According to Dio 58.6, shortly before the fall of Sejanus in October AD 31 Tiberius wrote a letter to the Senate about the death of Nero, although that doesn't necessarily mean he had died recently. The only certainty appears to be that Nero died before Sejanus. In any case, following Barrett, I am changing the date of death to 31. Anna Lowenstein (talk) 11:26, 8 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Merge with Nero

edit

This article is a stub and seems to be a bad duplicate of Nero. I haven't looked much into it but this seems like probably a mistake. I know absolutely nothing on this subject so it's best I don't "be bold" and let someone else do it properly... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.80.52.119 (talk) 14:25, 3 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

It's a different person than the Emperor Nero.
