" which recounted the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps"
edit"Horrors" is POV and needs to be reworded in an encyclopedic manner. --Moonsurfatsj (talk) 14:40, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
- It doesn't bother me as POV, but actually is not accurate, as what the film showed was not horrors per se but the aftermath, how they appeared after liberation. I've adjusted. Coretheapple (talk) 16:58, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
Synopsis
editI think that the Synopsis (formerly Narrative) section is getting to be a bit long. Also, while it's OK (I think) to use the film itself as a source in such things, we should used sourced descriptions of the narrative wherever possible. Coretheapple (talk) 17:17, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
I'm trimming per WP:FILMPLOT. Editors are asked to read that guideline and also the very useful Wikipedia:How to write a plot summary. Right now we have a plot summary that is far too detailed and specific, and seeks to convey the emotional impact of the film when that is just not permissible. intersperse
editIf it is necessary to use the word "interspersed", then can someone link it to a definition. --Moonsurfatsj (talk) 17:12, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- We don't define common English words. Coretheapple (talk) 17:20, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- We don't define 50 cent English words, if they are arguably borderline common? --Moonsurfatsj (talk) 19:51, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- Well we can always use other words, but interspersed seems most precise, and also it is not a 50-cent word, it is pretty common. Coretheapple (talk) 20:06, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- It is not a 50 dollar word, but it is a 50-cent word. --Moonsurfatsj (talk) 20:20, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
Released or not released
edit"German Concentration Camps Factual Survey, the 1945 documentary that was released seven decades after the war, with recent interviews with survivors"
It is fair to say that, that the documentary has never been released to the public. Although it was released for restoration in 2010, to Imperial War Museum. --Moonsurfatsj (talk) 17:15, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- We can say it was never released and only recently restored, or something to that effect. Or better still, since it is described elsewhere, simply not get into it at that point. Coretheapple (talk) 17:20, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
