Error in Mizukami book, p. 139
edit- Here he states the US has three nihonjin gakko: Guam, Chicago, and "Greenwich N.J." - In fact there are four nihonjin gakko Japanese schools in the USA: There are two in the NYC area: Greenwich, Connecticut (New York Japanese School) and Oakland, New Jersey (New Jersey Japanese School). The mixup may have come from the fact that Greenwich and Oakland were previously two campuses of the same school; Oakland split off around 1998.
If you want information in the MEXT archives about nihonjin gakko
editI found that "CLARINET" means Children Living Abroad and Returnees Internnet (Japanese name: 海外子女教育・帰国児童生徒教育等) - That refers to MEXT (Japanese education ministry)'s page on international education of Japanese people. CLARINET archives may have information on past hoshuko programs that do not appear in current lists (as in they closed!)

I don't know what this article is talking about
editI can't tell if this article is talking about hoshuko or nihonjin gakko. It's behind a paywall, sadly.

Which school is this talking about?
editI want to find this article and see what school it's talking about:

Baghdad
editIsnt there a Japanese school in Baghdad also[1]? I couldnt find it on the maps on this page but it's mentioned on the Baghdad page. If it's since closed or something then the Baghdad page needs to be updated. Thomas Norren (talk) 05:35, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
