Hi editors, as part of my work for Beutler Ink on behalf of New Remote Productions. I've disclosed by conflict of interest above and on my User page.

I am requesting updates to the Biography section of the article in-line with current practices laid out by MOS:BIO and content additions based on available reliable sources.

First, I request we change the section heading from "Biography" to "Early life and education" to better fit the proposed content changes.

Second, I request to change the text from the current sentence to the following.

Hi editors, for my next request, I suggest adding a new paragraph to the beginning of the Career section detailing Diaz's early career. My proposed text is below.

Diaz began working in television at New Jersey PBS affiliate WNET as an assistant to producer Steven Weinstock. In 1995, she began working for Viacom on a documentary about people with HIV, and in 1997 joined MTV as a freelancer.[1][2] She later became a full staff member, working as a producer for MTV News and on the network's documentaries. While in this role, she pitched MTV Cribs to network executives as a way to refresh the traditional sit-down interview format. The show premiered in September 2000.[2] Diaz has been credited with the development of The Osbournes and My Super Sweet 16.[3][4]

Hi editors, for my next request, I propose combining and updating the last 3 paragraphs of the Career section to make it more complete and accurate. I think it also summarizes the content more, makes them sound less promotional, and cleans up the references so they are consistent and complete. My proposed changes are below in the TextDiff and a rendering of the changes is in the box below that.

Hi editors, for my next request, I propose adding the content in the box below to the Career section. This will round out the section and make the article more complete post-2016.

In 2020, Diaz was promoted to President of Content and Chief Creative Officer of MTV Entertainment Studios. In that role, she oversaw both scripted and unscripted programming at MTV, Comedy Central, TV Land, Paramount Network, Smithsonian Channel, VH1, Pop, Logo TV, and CMT.[1] While in that role, she and Paramount Media Networks and MTV Entertainment Studios President and Chief Executive Officer Chris McCarthy created a $250 million initiative to help build BIPOC production companies and launch the First Time Directors Program to assist with the production of 50 movies by BIPOC and female directors.[2][3] She was chosen to lead the development of unscripted shows and adult animation for Paramount+ in 2021 as its chief creative officer for those divisions while retaining her role with MTV Entertainment.[4] In February 2023, Diaz was promoted to President of Content and Chief Creative Officer at Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios following the merger of the two entities.[5] That year, it was announced that she would be a co-executive producer on the upcoming Showtime series The Department.[6]

Diaz is one of the highest-ranking Latina executives in the entertainment industry.[2] The Hollywood Reporter recognized her as one of 2023's "Most Powerful Women in Entertainment" and one of the "Most Powerful Latin Players in Film, TV and Music".[7][8] The same year, Variety named her a "Reality TV Power Player" and recognized her as one of the "New York Women [That] Made an Impact on the Entertainment Industry".[9]
