This page says "He is the first Indian male boxer who will play in the Olympics". However, many Indian male boxers have played in the Olympics before. Vijender Singh Beniwal won a bronze medal at the Olympics in 2008. It is true however that Nishant Dev was the first Indian male to qualify for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Now, another male Indian boxer, Amit Panghal, have also qualified for the event. So Nishant Dev will not fore sure be the first male Indian boxer to play at that event either.
