Merge proposal
editI propose to merge Finncomm Airlines into this article. This is the same company. The only change was rebranding the name and new owners; however, there was no merger or similar restructuring justifying two articles about the same company. Beagel (talk) 08:46, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- I was wondering about why there were two articles. A change of ownership and rebranding without a merger does not normally justify a new article. I would suggest that Finncomm Airlines be moved to 'Flybe Nordic' as this article has almost no edit history, compared to the other article. Arsenikk (talk) 12:40, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
(disclosure: I created the article) I would oppose a move; they're not the same company at all. Finncomm doesn't exist anymore, the assets were bought by Finnair and Flybe, and Flybe Nordic is a new joint venture between the two. The history of Finncomm ended when Flybe Nordic started operations, it wasn't simply a case of new owners. C628 (talk) 02:04, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
- Flybe in cooperation with Finnair acquired operating company, not just assets. Legally it is still the same company but with different name and different owners. If you say that the history of Finncomm ended when Flybe Nordic started operations, it is correct only if saying that the history of the company as Finncomm ended and continues as Flybe Nordic. editICAO code
editI feel like the ICAO code should be FCM, not FIN, as FIN is Finnair's. Anyone know any better or should I just go ahead and change it? --Muzer (talk) 11:25, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
