Not correct information
editThe article is generally of a mediocre quality. I cannot go into all that. However, about the Christian settlers taking over Malabar forest lands, I am not sure about Kasargode district. As to the land areas in Calicut and Wynad district, there was no clear-cut buying from anyone, but generally a free-for-all-attitude by the organised might of the settler folks under the leadership of some evangelical headquarters. Thousands of acres of forest lands were burnt down for clearing the forest trees and almost all animals in the areas were killed. These included deer, monkeys, porcupines, wild boars, wild goats, elephants and also many kinds of birds. This was facilitated by the vanishing of British rule in Malabar, which led to bureaucratic inefficiency and corruption. There was no buying involved in the take-over of these lands. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.214.16.154 (talk) 14:37, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
