Notability
editPresumably the inherent notability of this article is tied to the record that was set. So if the record gets broken, does the article go up for deletion? If not, then we're saying that any match with a record-breaking score is notable (not just current records), so the match where the previous record was set is also notable enough for an article, no? Just playing devil's advocate here, I'm not advocating deletion of this article by any means, just interested in what constitutes a notable match. --Jameboy (talk) 00:08, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
- That's a very good point, and one that I hadn't really considered. I don't suppose that Ole Solskjaer's four goals in 10 minutes would count towards the notability of the match either. Would you recommend, then, that I discontinue my efforts at User:PeeJay2K3/Manchester United 9–0 Ipswich Town (4 March 1995)? – PeeJay 23:45, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
- Hi both - I have started a discussion to delete this article. I don't think it reaches notability level and certainly not now that there has been a bigger away win in league history as of a few years ago. Cheers. Rupert1904 (talk) 13:11, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
- You don't need to add a comment to a 12-year-old discussion. We can see the AfD has started, and I think you're totally wrong. – PeeJay 13:26, 27 October 2021 (UTC)

Hugo Porfírio's yellow card
editCan someone explain how Hugo Porfírio got a yellow card five minutes before coming on? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.167.168.224 (talk) 23:51, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
- Because it was a typo. He actually came on in the 74th minute. – PeeJay 23:55, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
- .....although it is of course possible for a sub sitting on the bench to get a yellow card, or even a red -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 14:41, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
