- Hmm, I don't remember proposing to rewrite this. Anyway, it was over three years ago and apparently I never did it. Please ignore. — Frecklefσσt | Talk 21:09, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
This section should be edited or removed.
edit"However, some religious fundamental organizations, including Roman Catholics,Mormons, Southern Baptists, Ultra Orthodox Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses, Born-Again Christians and Muslims strongly shunned the film, and clergy warned their congregations that they would be ex-communicated if they saw the film."
I don't remember Southern Baptists taking any kind of action against this film, though some clergy most likely criticized it. In any case, Baptists are not prone to use terms like "excommunicate", and the Southern Baptist Convention would not likely dismiss a member church over a movie. That was especially true back in 1977, when the SBC leadership was considerably more liberal. The person who posted this comment clearly knows very little about Southern Baptist polity, and since he/she posted no documentation to back it up, I think this section should be removed.71.48.148.40 (talk) 21:13, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
