Faulty Premise

The plot revolves around the demand by North Korean terrorist leader Kang Yeonsak that US Army forces withdraw from the DMZ. The US Army has not manned the DMZ for many years. Some camps, such as Casey, Hovey, Castle and Mobile, are near one area of the DMZ (Casey is 17 miles to the south), but the units actually manning posts and patrolling the DMZ are almost entirely South Korean. The film makes it appear that only US Army units man the DMZ and their withdrawal would leave the southern side defenseless, which is entirely untrue. It is as if the ROK Army, Air Force and Marine Corps do not exist.

Additionally, unless the government of North Korea actively participated in the plot, there would be no way for it to coordinate a sudden offensive to take advantage of the withdrawal of US units (which aren't actually on the DMZ). An attack would need planning, massive logistical support, pre-positioning of soldiers, equipment, aircraft, etc., to take advantage of the situation. The North would also require massive amounts of fuel for its vehicles and aircraft which it sorely lacks; otherwise, an attack would only be a pipe dream. Without fuel, no one's tanks, trucks, self-propelled artillery, aircraft, etc., go anywhere.VilePig (talk)

Cast order

Regardless of the cast order in the ending credits, it doesn't matter how it's listed. Just make sure it's easier for people to read. BattleshipMan (talk) 15:46, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

I know this is I belated reply, but I wanted to check the ending credits for myself to be certain of its billing. Anyways, the order has to be based on something. Otherwise, people will be able to alter it to suit their own preferences. I don't see how the current order makes this article easier to read. Bluerules (talk) 21:44, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

There is no rule on WP:FILM or MOS:FILM that says we can't use the site I used as a source. Several good articles and featured articles use it as a source. Error in the opening credits in the cast section

In case of you guys revert the edit about the name Admiral Hoenig, there was a error in the given name in the credits. President Asher called him "Joe", but in the opening credits, his given name was "Nathan". BattleshipMan (talk) 08:41, 6 February 2014 (UTC)

Soundtrack cover

The cover itself is needless, regardless of its difference from the poster. Soundtrack is not independently notable, even when inherently notable. Per WP:NFCC, we shouldn't have more than one image of similar info. Information is the same to me. --George Ho (talk) 03:45, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

It's funny that there is no word about using EAS / SAME sound in the movie trailer.

North Korean?

The lead describes the attack as a "North Korean-led guerrilla assault", and the article later calls Kang a "North Korean terrorist driven to reunify Korea".

In the film, all the attackers appear to be Korean and are described as part of a "front". It's not clear how closely they are working with North Korea. Kang is described as having left North Korea as a child. If he had been born in Switzerland, would we say it was a Swiss-led assault?--Jack Upland (talk) 19:45, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

The terrorists on that film are North Korean and they wanted the U.S. pulled their forces out of Korea so that North Korea can seize South Korea. Therefore, it is considered "North Korean-led", not "pro-North Korean" as you put on that article. BattleshipMan (talk) 19:55, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
