is deep space nine not there simply because nobody has started it or is there some reason?

Draft:Outline of Star Trek → Wikipedia:WikiProject Outlines/Drafts/Outline of Star Trek – Move was entirely done for mischief 107.77.227.76 (talk) 05:28, 23 June 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose Not done for mischief and I have no idea why the Outlines project should own all outlines. I think it's better in draftspace and should be open to the Star Trek project editors as well. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 06:52, 23 June 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose. What mischief? Steel1943 (talk) 13:22, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose, and Comment, this should be mainspaced soon, doesn't need much work (although a huge italics run or six would be worth the time before mainspacing). It's not open to Star Trek editors(?), then as a wise man said, "Make it so". Randy Kryn 16:02, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

Not sure where in the outline to place these. Feel free to take a crack at them. The Transhumanist 03:05, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
Star Trek: The Animated Series
editNot actually a canon series. Was made non-canon in the late 80's by Roddenberry. Elements of it have since become canon, as they've been included in other works (elements of "Yesteryear" appear in 2009's Star Trek and various bits also appear in episodes of Enterprise). Miyagawa (talk) 19:38, 23 July 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you. TAS is now listed under non-canonical. With a see also note leading to it from the list of the rest of the TV series. The Transhumanist 02:20, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
Quick explanation of Wikipedia outlines
editOutlines are a type of list article. Each outline is about the subject identified after "Outline of" in the title. "Outline" refers to the format of the article...
"Outline" is short for "hierarchical outline". There are two types of outlines: sentence outlines (like those you made in school to plan a paper), and topic outlines (like the topical synopses that professors hand out at the beginning of a college course). Outlines on Wikipedia are primarily topic outlines that serve 2 main purposes: they provide taxonomical classification of subjects showing what topics belong to a subject and how they are related to each other (via their placement in the tree structure), and as subject-based tables of contents linked to topics in the encyclopedia. The hierarchy is maintained through the use of heading levels and indented bullets. See Wikipedia:Outlines for a more in-depth explanation. The Transhumanist 17:03, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
Starfleet personnel of Deep Space Nine (space station)
editOdo is not a member of Starfleet - I think it may be worth re-naming the section, possibly to "Command crew of Deep Space Nine (space station)" Exotropic Snail (talk) 21:52, 26 August 2016 (UTC)
- That works. SonOfThornhill (talk) 23:03, 26 August 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks, for the feedback, I've made the change. Exotropic Snail (talk) 08:43, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
Character?
editWhy is "Kirk and Uhura's kiss" listed as a character? When hovering/clicking it takes you to a section saying it was NOT the first interracial kiss. first or not, it isn't a character. None of the other entries list anything under them either.
Galaxy Quest
editYes, I'm a fan, The Transhumanist (talk · contribs). or at least a former fan. (You're the first person who has mentioned the tribble connection. The Humphrey part is another story.)
I lost interest after the first seasons of Discovery and Picard became convoluted. About the same time, I dropped my tv feed for other reasons and didn't have the motivation to pursue them.
This outline is very useful. By drilling down, I've found information I didn't know existed. I didn't see Galaxy Quest, which is sometimes described as a pseudo-Trek movie. Apparently, the cast were hoping for a sequel, a plan stymied by the death of Alan Rickman. Is there a place for it?
And if you like Rickman, you'll enjoy Snow Cake starring him with Sigourney Weaver. Both are superb. Humpster (talk) 03:16, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
- Done @Humphrey Tribble: Good catch. As it is an example of Star Trek cultural influence, I've added it under "Popular culture and Star Trek". Cheers. — The Transhumanist 03:33, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
P.S.: That wouldn't be the Humphrey from Headspace (OMORI), would it? --TT- No, indirectly from Humphrey Appleby played by another great actor Nigel Hawthorne
- @Humphrey Tribble:
(Playing Nigel Hawthorne, playing Humphrey Appleby):
Ah, yes, Prime Minister. If I were to renew my explanation for today's geopolitical reality, I would again warn you of Russian salami tactics. First, they would take Ukraine, then Moldava, and then they would continue through Europe slice by slice, one piece at a time, until they were right across the Channel. And yet, you didn't push the big red button. Nuclear brinkmanship at its finest. Will Article 5 hold them at bay? Let's hope so.
Cheers, — The Transhumanist 06:07, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
