according to Matt Dillon's page, the film received a limited theatrical release. imdb lists an austrian and west german theatrical release. does anyone know if there was a theatrical release or not? Jaboles 21:33, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

The song, "Over the Edge", by Little Feat, & written by the film's editor's brother, Paul Barrére, was recorded for this movie, ostensibly, as the title track, but I do not know if it is, actually, in the movie (, it being a while since I have seen it), & it not being on the soundtrack. It was released on Little Feat's _Hoy-Hoy!_ in 1981.

NO warning shot fired by Doberman, and....

I just watched this movie TWICE ,and Doberman certainly did NOT fire a warning shot.

Also Doberman certainly did NOT overhear Tip's mother and that was the reason he started following the 2 boys.

Whoever wrote that must've been SUPER high and hallucinating. Lol

Doberman was very clearly ALREADY dead after the crash into the rec center with Carl in the back

It's EXTREMELY clear to anyone who has actually watched this movie (.....amd watched it recently) that Doberman was ALREADY dead from the head shot he took before crashing the police car into the rec center, with Carl in handcuffs in the backseat. Whoever wrote this plot must have seen the movie 5 or 10 years prior , or even longer ago than that , and wrote this plot from memory amd how they GUESS the filn went.

There is no scene where Tip's mother is describing her son's assailants. No such scene !!! Unless there's some DVD version with deleted scenes.
