editMohan P Kandasamy Gounder is a great humanitarian from Tirupur. He is the former Member of Legislature Assembly of Tamilnadu representing Pongalur Constituency from Tamil Maanila Congress. He was the president of South India Hosiery Manufacturers Association (SIHMA).
"Mohanji" as he is fondly remembered by his well wishers, supporters and followers greatly stood for cause of wellness of many temples. He is well remembered for his effort in establishing the temple, "Thiru Neelakandiamman Temple" in Pongalur.
He is the maternal uncle of the chairman of Tirupur Exporters Association [TEA], Mr.Shakthivel & brothers of Poppies Exports, a prominent name in garment export business.
His son, Mr. Mohan Karthik, now runs the Kids Club and Kids Matriculation School in Tirupur. His granddaughter bagged multiple gold medals during her study in the university.
The entire "Ponnan" Kulathor from Pongalur & Thottampatty wishes his family members the well being and a happy, prosperous life.
