Should the article mention that Volodymyr Zelenskyy was a voice actor in dubbed releases of the films? (quick and dirty talk page discussion suggestion)
editSupport: current events make this of key interest to anyone reading this article. --Shirt58 (talk) 09:54, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
Conditional support: not this article, and most definitely not its lede, but as a section in Paddington 2#Production --Shirt58 (talk) 09:54, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
Oppose: it is factually incorrect. The Guardian reported that Zelenskyy was the voice actor in the Russian language dub of the film, not the Ukrainian language dub.--Shirt58 (talk) 09:54, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for spotting that; corrected. Richard75 (talk) 12:09, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
Oppose: pure trivia, also potentially a WP:BLP problem if no better reliable sources can be found.--Shirt58 (talk) 09:54, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
Support: I don't agree that it's purely trivia, it's a perfectly reasonable thing to include given current events. I don't have a fixed view about where in the article to include it. Richard75 (talk) 12:09, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Paddington (film series) → Paddington (franchise) – The name is vacant, and the franchise also includes a TV series. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:56, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose as proposed If this is "franchise" it will need to include much more than just the 2019 TV show. The Panddington franchise predates these 21st century IP. The "franchise" started in 1956, and is covered at Paddington Bear (which should be split into a character and a franchise article). There several different TV shows, such as Paddington (TV series) from 1976, that are not part of this article. Instead Paddington (2014 franchise) should be used, while Paddington (franchise) should redirect to Paddington Bear, where the full franchise is located -- 64.229.90.32 (talk) 05:10, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose per above. The "franchise" covers the whole thing and is covered at Paddington Bear. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:20, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose per others since Paddington (film series) is essentially WP:SPLIT off from Paddington Bear. If needed, there can be a Paddington Bear in television split-off too, but no need to mix film and TV for this particular group of topics. I would drop the TV series and short film from the film series article's tables as a result. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 15:24, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- Comment, I think it's clear that this should be retooled, the character and franchise should be split.--Ortizesp (talk) 13:26, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose for now as the "franchise" would imply the article also covers the books, which it doesn't. If the articles were rescoped in the way Ortiz suggests, that's a different story though! — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 10:59, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Now I concede the proposed title is a bad option. How about Paddington in other media? Or Paddington in film and television? Kailash29792 (talk) 11:21, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
- Paddington in other media is a horrible idea. There is no definition for "other". These types of articles have been deleted previously for being nondefining and without scope -- 64.229.90.32 (talk) 22:47, 15 June 2024 (UTC)
- Why would you mix both film and TV together? Why not stage and screen while you're at it? -- 64.229.90.32 (talk) 22:47, 15 June 2024 (UTC)
