Untitled
editI thought that this article needed improvement. I tried to fix some of the confusing sentence structure and organization. The introduction was poorly organized. The importance of its last sentence, for example, isn’t clear. I thought that the Zanzibar Treaty was not fully explained. In the history section, the sentences about the membership of the league should be moved to the doctrine section. I thought it would be helpful to cite the source of the four tenets. The last claim that the entry makes about Nazism isn’t well supported or cited, so I am unsure as to its validity.
Merger
editThere is also a page for the Alldeutscher Verband. Given that the Alldeutscher Verband and the Pan-German League are the same group, these pages should be merged.--A.S. Brown (talk) 02:56, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
'Ideology'
editThe purpose of the League was to nurture and protect the ideology of German nationality....
- "Ideology of ... nationality" is nonsensical. Nationality as used here is an ethnic designation. An ideology is a set of abstract ideas or beliefs, e.g. the ideology of Nazism, the ideology of Communism, etc.
- Changed to "ethos of German nationality." Sca (talk) 19:05, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
